Case Study
Power Distribution Unit (PDU)

UEC designed, prototyped and fabricates a Power Distribution Unit (PDU) for the Common Emitter Sensing and Attacking System (CESAS) and the Team Portable Collection System – Multi Platform Capability (TPCS-MPC). The CECAS is a U.S. Marine Corps C4ISR system that provides the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) commander with an organic capability to conduct ground electronics attack in support of the commander’s information electronics warfare plans. This product has been assigned a national stock number.
UEC overcame all primary system restraints which included limiting the PDU to nineteen (19) inch wide, four (4) rack units (U) high, rugged environmentally sealed enclosure while providing active cooling of the internal active elements, smart switch and fused electrical connections to a variety of external subsystems, and a human-machine interface (HMI). In addition the PDU was designed according the current TEMPEST criteria and was required to comply with MIL-STD-461E.
