DTS Weapons Management Test Stand
UEC was contracted to specify, design, fabricate, and calibrate a complex, semi-automated, multi-mode, script driven Development Test System (DTS) for the Sikorsky S-70B Anti-Submarine Warfare, Search & Rescue, Reconnaissance Helicopter. The S-70B Weapons Management System (WMS) is an interface to the various subsystems on the S-70B aircraft. The DTS behaves as a test interface for the S-70B WMS and realistically simulates the aircraft’s subsystems, communications networks, and weapons interfaces.
This project was perfectly suited for UEC as it utilized all of UEC’s core capabilities including: Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering, Software Development, Complex Assembly, Harness Assembly, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and population, hardware/software integration, calibration, and field support.
