Hanahan, South Carolina (January 18, 2018) UEC Electronics announced today that its Operations have been appraised at CMMI-Development Maturity Level 3. The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) appraisal was led by MOSAIC Technologies Group.
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at Maturity level 3 indicates the organization’s engineering processes are defined and emphasize learning-oriented processes like process definition, training, and defined ways to make decisions and evaluate alternatives.
UEC’s set of standard processes, which is the basis for CMMI-Development Maturity Level 3, are established and continue to improve over time.
Nancy Straight, Director of Strategic Planning at UEC Electronics said, “UEC’s Quality Management System has been certified to ISO 9001 since 1996 and to AS9100 since 2009; the CMMI Appraisal is another tool that enables us to continue to improve our processes and ultimately our customer deliveries.”
This appraisal has reinforced UEC Electronics’ ability to streamline organizational processes, involve stakeholders, prioritize goals as well as meet global quality standards. UEC Electronics will continue to focus on quality and deliver excellence towards implementing the right processes for every customer engagement.
